Single pendants are suspended from the ceiling by using a single cord, chain or rod and are typically used in smaller spaces such as bathrooms and bedrooms.

They can also be used to either provide task lighting or to highlight specific architectural features and artwork.

Recently single pendants have become popular feature lights hanging over bedside tables, replacing  wall lights or table lamps in bedrooms.

They are also widely used in bathroom designs as feature lights hanging low in a corner or over the vanity.
